Dear Journal,

Kind of annoyed at the moment... was in the middle of drying my hair and mum demanded her hair dryer off me, to dry her own hair... So now I'm sitting here with semi-damp hair, unable to do anything about it... I purposely didn't bring mine home cause she said I could use hers. And I'm sure she'll be quite happy to use my GHDs once she's dried her hair, which means I'm gonna have to wait to use my own bloody GHDs!!!

Dear Journal,

Work was busy today and I'm feeling kind of tired... so all I can be bothered doing is pasting my website commentary for Mathew Street fest photos on here, rather than writing a whole new paragraph of rubbish...

"Ok, so the 29th of August was the Bank Holiday Monday of the Mathew Street Festival. As a quasi-veteran of the festival, I was a little bit disappointed this year- there was a stage full of famous people, rubbish famous people at that, who had absolutely no connection to Liverpool or music from Liverpool. There was also a stage on the Wirral, which goes against the whole idea of the festival, which, I believe, is so popular because it is so easy to wander from stage to stage, without having to get on a ferry! Further, by lunchtime, town was full of drunk people, polluting the air with their stupid cigarette smoke and the atmosphere just seemed to deteriorate as the day went by. On the plus side... of the bands that we did see, some were exceptional- Uncomfortably Numb, Mersey Beatles and the Aussie Beatles, just to mention a few. I enjoyed the day overall, as I had good company and the majority of the music was wonderful (I didn't like Rocks Off- a Rolling Stones tribute band)."

Dear Journal,

I know I should be revising right now but I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm so sleepy cause I just spent a few hours lying on the sofa listening to beautiful Bruch violin concertos and looking forward to getting my music :-) I really wanna take my violin into work and play Concerto No. 1 for Wendy before I leave cause it's her favourite and the first time she found out I played violin, she asked me if I could play it and at the time I couldn't... and now I can :-) Kind of...

Tonight I think Imma get an early night and I might just watch Shakespeare in Love with the cats- sad, I know, but I'll get over it. Me and Rach have decided that boys are gaybods anyway :-P And speaking of gay... you wanna see the cover of June's copy of Gay Times- tis most risqué- two naked dudes, made me and Rach giggle loads... can't see anything of course but it still made us giggle... Cause we're mature, honest.

So... not really much else to say as nothing else has happened since my last update. I guess I could tell you all of the lj plan for when I'm on my hols. Right, well as those of you who know me well will know, I hate to not update my lj everyday, so the plan is to just use a Word Document to do my journal while I'm away and then I'll copy the entries into each day on my actual lj when I get back. It's not cheating if I actually write it on the day... so i just have to remember!

Time to go and watch Gladiators methinks :-)

Dear Journal,

Just a quick update cause I'm going to bed at ten- got an exam in the morning, lucky lucky me... Today has been bad even by my standards- I woke up feeling really dodgy- just general nausea and really dizzy. So I ended up spending a lot of the day propped up in bed, with nothing but my textbooks to keep me company... as well as the occasional cat popping in. I mostly just revised War Literature, learnt yet more Blake poems and read Harry Potter. Just wanna spend some time with Andy now though- haven't seen him since Thursday n it sucks. I blame exam season. Hate it :-(

anyway... going to bed now, still don't quite feel right

Dear Journal,

Was feeling relatively rubbish this morning- I woke up with a headache, which stayed with me all through work and got progressively worse. Got home from work, had lunch and two Sudafed and my headache cleared up. Did some Blake work, mum dyed my hair for me and then I had a quick shower. Came out of the shower to find a message from Andy saying he's not well and might not be able to go tonight, so now I'm looking forward to a wonderful evening of eye violation and feeling lonely. Pccchhh :-(
